Welcome to Walton on Thames

Located on the banks of the River Thames between Sunbury Lock and Shepperton Lock, Walton on Thames provides a tranquil setting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Situated in the borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, Walton is considered to be the main community hub for the local area since its redevelopment where its main shopping centre was aptly given the name of the "Heart of Walton". The surrounding town boasts a range of shopping and leisure facilities and is renowned for its diverse international food markets and community events.

Located in London Travelcard Zone 4, Walton Railway Station provides regular services for the commuter in and out of London Waterloo, via Wimbledon Station. Walton provides a good number of local bus routes running throughout the local area, South West London and Surrey. The motorist is connected by the nearby A3 Kingston bypass providing routes to London's West End, Surrey and the M25 for routes out of London.

Properties in Walton on Thames can be divided in to smaller pockets of diverse residential suburbs. Areas around Central Walton are popular with commuters and young professionals with its pretty Victorian cottages around the Bridge Street area and modern apartments around the Heart of Walton. Families are drawn to the The Rydens area which provides a range of 1930's style properties with a collection of larger detached properties around The Furrows, Holly Avenue, Cardinal Drive and Wolesey Drive. The Cottimore area is made up of mostly a mix of 1930's and 1950's style properties around Cottimore Avenue and Cottimore Lane, whilst nearby Florence Road offers a number of larger deatached properties. The Ashley Park area mainly consists of a network of private roads giving the feeling of space and tranquility and yet is located close to the town centre and Walton Railway station. The area has an exclusive feel with its large detached plots and landscaped surroundings. The Walton Cricket and Hockey Club sits within the grounds of the Ashley Park area giving the area its village feel. To the north of Walton, you will find the area known as the River Roads offering mainly Victorian style characterful properties on the popular roads of Dudley Road, Sunbury Lane and Cambridge Road, whilst areas around Dunsmore Road and River Walk are also sought after locations as well as the historic Mount Felix area with roads such as River Mount which enjoy stunning riverside views.
