Welcome to Isleworth

Located in West London in the London Borough of Hounslow, Isleworth is a town with Saxon origins. It can be found to the east of Isleworth, the town, and to the west of the River Thames and the River Crane, which is a tributary river to the Thames. One of the key benefits of Isleworth is the fact that it manages to combine an area which feels as though it is far removed from the rat race while being very easy to access.

While Isleworth became extremely popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, the area being appreciated for its idyllic riverside location and the close proximity to the Royal Court located in Kew, the aristocratic houses built at this time haven't stood the test of time. However, Syon House located with the Syon Park estate which dates back to the 1550's, still remains as a local landmark today.

When it comes to settling your family in Isleworth, the presence of well-regarded schools such as primary school The Blue School and secondary schools, The Green School (for girls) and The Isleworth & Syon School (for boys) ensure that you can be confident about the teaching that will be delivered to your children.

You will find that Heathrow Airport is just a 20 minute drive, you can reach the A4 and M4 within minutes and you can find up to six trains an hour heading to Waterloo, and the journey only takes 40 minutes. There are two Railway Stations in Isleworth, Isleworth and Syon Lane, and both of these are located in Zone 4. Osterley Underground Station, on the Piccadilly Line, is just a short walk away for many offering routes from Heathrow Airport in the West and Cockfosters in the East of London. The area further benefits from a range of bus routes providing services across Richmond upon Thames, Brentford and the surrounding areas

With respect to housing options today, there are a number of Victorian and Georgian houses, some of which are found facing the river. There are also a number of semis dating back to the 1930s and there are even modern low-rise tower blocks, which helps to ensure that there are property options for everyone in present day Isleworth. Nestled on the banks of the River Thames, Old Isleworth remains a popular destination for its village feel and tranquil riverside community. Isleworth has benefited from a number of recent developments, bringing new properties and retail outlets to the area but the central village remains a major plus point of local life.

  • " I first met Jezzards when I was looking for a new agent to take over the sale of my property, having used one of those online agents before and had no joy. After only 2 weeks on the market I had an offer for my property. I had previously been on the market for nearly a year with no offers so I was very pleased with their service from start to finish. I also would like to thank them for letting me keep my virtual tour of my (old) house so I would always have a memory of our first family home. "
