Welcome to New Malden

New Malden is bounded to the north by the affluent Coombe Hill and to the south and east by Raynes Park, Worcester Park and Tolworth. New Malden includes Motspur Park, home to the training ground of Fulham Football Club and also the King's College London sports ground, home to the training ground of AFC Wimbledon. The area is cut in half by the busy A3 road. Ten miles south-west of central London, it sits south of affluent Coombe, west of Raynes Park, north of Worcester Park and east of Tolworth. Two Thames tributaries run close by — Beverley Brook to the east and the Hogsmill to the west. Often in the shadow of better-known neighbours Wimbledon and Kingston, New Malden has a range of fantastic family houses, good schools and an easy commute into central London.

This makes the area the area perfect for the motorist with easy access offered by the A3, in to, and out of the centre of London and the M25. New Malden railway station has services to London Waterloo, Hampton Court, Kingston upon Thames, Richmond and Shepperton. It is in London Zone 4. The Old Malden area is well served by trains from Malden Manor railway station, travelling north to London and south to Chessington. Motspur Park railway station on the New Malden/Raynes Park borders also has rail connections to Chessington South, Epsom, Leatherhead and Dorking.

After the arrival of the railway in 1846, New Malden started to develop and there are Victorian semi-detached and terrace houses in the roads off the High Street. They are found in particular in The Groves conservation area which features Lime Grove, Poplar Grove, Chestnut Grove and Sycamore Grove. Elsewhere, New Malden has mainly Twenties and Thirties detached, semi-detached and terrace houses.

New Malden is a good place to look for family homes and there are nearly five times more houses for sale than flats. The Christchurch conservation area, east of Coombe Road and close to Malden Golf Club is another popular area within easy reach of the station. The so-called painters’ roads, south of the A3, are close to Malden Manor station and are named after artists including Romney, Turner, Gainsborough, Lawrence, Reynolds and Van Dyck.

  • " We saw several agents before signing with Jezzards. From the outset they were personable, professional and their market knowledge was excellent. Since starting the process every employee I have encountered has been really proactive and kept us fully informed. A brilliant service and worth the fee. Thank you. "

    ES, Hanworth October 2019
  • " Rated high with very good reason. Great customer service, pricing thoroughly researched for both buyer and same, no hard sale, professionalism from all members of staff exceptionally high, as was the photographer who took photographs of my property. I felt I could trust them, Victoria listened to personal concerns and was able to assuage fears drawing on years of personal experience. Quick to respond to queries on different communication platforms. They are a team to be strongly recommended. Sales team are extremely respectful, and were keen to find out as much about my property as they could. "

    Anne, Hampton October 2019
  • " I've dealt with some horrible agencies whilst renting in the past but I am glad we had Jezzards as our last. Didn't know that someone so professional and understanding and true to it's word existed in the business. I locked myself out once and they were there in  20 mins to assist. Heating stopped in the night and their out of hours assistance helped sort us out. Any problems or issues, were very promptly and effectively dealt with...I didn't even have to chase them. Our exit was quick, refunds took some time due to overlooked issues, which Victoria Jezzard looked into personally, and all done in 3 days. Dorathy was our handler and she was ace!! "

  • " Gary Watson was our first point of contact. He reached out to us quickly and did everything he could to make sure things were dealt with smoothly- which we really appreciated. Since then every dealing with Jezzards has been efficient and no fuss- great. "
