Welcome to West Molesey

Molesey is located on the southern banks of the River Thames, in the northeast borough of Elmbridge in Surrey. Comprising of two large villages, East Molesey and West Molesey, on the border of Greater London and Surrey.

West Molesey is directly South of the River Thames, boasts several large reservoirs bordering the village with the disused being converted to the Molesey Reservoirs Nature Reserve. Once a race horse course, Hurst Park, sometimes known as Molesey Hurst, is located by the River Thames and offers a regular ferry service to Hampton on the Middlesex banks of the River Thames. Offering both easy access in and out of London and the South East, West Molesey is ideal for families looking for a village community feel.

Transport in West Molesey is ideally suited to the motorist with easy access to the nearby A3, A316 and M3 offering connections to London, Surrey and the M25. Whilst here is no Railway station in West Molesey, the area is still conveniently connected by the neighbouring stations of Hampton Court, in East Molesey and Hersham Railway Station. Buses in the area are operated on behalf of Surrey County Council via routes 461 and 514 for services to and from Kingston, Hersham Surbiton, Walton and St Peter's Hospital Chertsey.

With respect to property in West Molesey, the majority of the properties were built in the 1930's and whilst most have features that traditionally represent the era. The Hurst Park Development was constructed on the edge of Hurst Park on the edge of the River Thames during the 1980's, comprising of a range of townhouses, terraced houses and purpose built apartments. The area mostly attracts families due to its tranquil village location whilst still be ideal for access in and out of London and Surrey.
