  18 Sep 2017

No matter the time of year, there is always something of interest taking place in West London and this autumn is no different. Even the summer of 2017 is now behind us, there is no reason to think that you have to hide away because here are some of the most exciting autumn activities in West London.

Enjoy a secret wander in Richmond

Autumn is always a great time to enjoy a walk in the open but if you fancy doing something a little bit different, the Secret Richmond Wandering which takes place on Saturday 9th of September is likely to be interest. The full extent of the tour is under wraps but you’ll have the chance to meander on Richmond Hill, gaze down towards the Thames and follow the river down to Kingston, which should be of interest to many people.

Enjoy a cocktail or two in the capital

London Cocktail Week is sure to be an event that grabs a lot of people’s attention and this event runs from 2 October 2017 to 8 October 2017. Whether you are keen to learn more about cocktails or you just want to have a great evening out with some friends there are over 200 pubs and venues taking part in this event which means that you should be able to enjoy something in your neck of the woods.

A different type of football fever hits West London

The NFL lands back in London this September and October, with four games taking place in the West of London. These matches are now being billed as the NFL London Games and the first two matches take place at Wembley Stadium.

On the 24th of September, the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Baltimore Ravens and then on the 1st of October, the Miami Dolphins come up against the New Orleans Saints. The action then switches to Twickenham on the 22nd of October with the Los Angeles Rams playing the Arizona Cardinals. The final NFL London game of 2017 takes place on the 29th of October with a clash between the Minnesota Vikings and the Cleveland Browns.

In addition to the four games, there will be plenty of free events as the NFL tries to make its mark on the English capital. There is a major event taking place in Regents Street but you’ll find that there are plenty of NFL related activities around these four games this autumn in West London.

Take back the night in a museum!

The west of London is well known for its range of museums and in October there is going to be a string of events that will help you to see museums in a different light. This is because the 2017 Museums at Night events tie in perfectly with Halloween offering spooky fun and excitement that will delight people of all ages.

West London venues involved with this event, which runs from the 26th to the 28th of October include The Queens Gallery at Buckingham Palace, The National Archives in Kew and the Handel & Hendrix in Brook Street in Mayfair amongst others. If you’re looking for something slightly different which will give you a Halloween experience you will always remember, the Museums at Night events should be of great interest.

Of course, sometimes all you need to have fun in London in autumn is a good poor of shoes or wellington boots and then go and explore the nearest park. There is no shortage of suitable parks in West London so sometimes you just need to dress properly and look forward to a good time.

  • " Rated high with very good reason. Great customer service, pricing thoroughly researched for both buyer and same, no hard sale, professionalism from all members of staff exceptionally high, as was the photographer who took photographs of my property. I felt I could trust them, Victoria listened to personal concerns and was able to assuage fears drawing on years of personal experience. Quick to respond to queries on different communication platforms. They are a team to be strongly recommended. Sales team are extremely respectful, and were keen to find out as much about my property as they could. "

  • " I've dealt with some horrible agencies whilst renting in the past but I am glad we had Jezzards as our last. Didn't know that someone so professional and understanding and true to it's word existed in the business. I locked myself out once and they were there in  20 mins to assist. Heating stopped in the night and their out of hours assistance helped sort us out. Any problems or issues, were very promptly and effectively dealt with...I didn't even have to chase them. Our exit was quick, refunds took some time due to overlooked issues, which Victoria Jezzard looked into personally, and all done in 3 days. Dorathy was our handler and she was ace!! "

  • " Everybody at Jezzards Estate Agents, Surbiton was very patient and sympathetic to our needs as non-residents looking to buy in a completely new area. We were provided with maps and advised on the layout of the town and nearby areas. We would particularly like to thank Gaj Murali for showing us round various properties in the pouring rain and taking a personal interest in helping us find the right property. Thank you Gaj. "
